Suspected gang leader nabbed in Tampa ICE raid

Suspected gang leader nabbed in Tampa ICE raid: "Mario Rangel slept, a team of federal agents planned how they were going to take him down.
Rangel, who has twice been deported, is in the country illegally from Mexico. Authorities say he's a leader in the Sur 13 street gang, with a long record of criminal convictions, including burglary, domestic violence and grand theft.
'This guy's not a member of al-Qaida, but he is definitely a member of a criminal organization, a gang, a violent street gang,' said the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent who led Thursday's raid. 'He knows if he gets caught, he's in a lot of trouble.'
During a predawn briefing, the agent said he had watched Rangel's family home on 12th Street the day before. He ticked off the routine: Rangel's father would come out, look up and down the street. His mother would leave in a van. Then his sister would emerge with her young child and leave.
Finally, a tan van would pick up Rangel to take him to his job laying carpet.
Nearly two hours later, it happened just as the agent predicted"
