"9-Tek grenades" and the "Brick Mafia" operated in Palm Coast.

Arrested : Tommy Banks, 22; Roberto Bravo, 26; Alex DeCosta, 20; Bianca Dorismond, 19; Michael D. Gilbert, 22; Paraskevas Hantzos, 22; Christopher Kee, 20; Terrance Leeks, 20; Ancil Oliver, 20; Joel Ortiz, 25; Gerrell Smith, 21; Brandon Washington, 21; 24-year-old Andre McCarthy is still being sought. "The Bloods are a violent criminal gang with the potential to terrorize any community," said FDLE Special Agent in Charge Dominick Pape. "Unfortunately, individuals living in Flagler County chose to align with this criminal element and establish the 9-Tek Grenades. It is a tribute to the Flagler County Sheriffs Office that they were able to identify the individuals committing increasingly violent activities within their communities that constituted this gang."12 people, all suspected gang members, are behind bars in Flagler County. Investigators are looking for a 13th suspect.The arrests are the result of a nine month long investigation by the Flagler County Sheriff's Office, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, and the Jacksonville Office of the Statewide Prosecutor.The Flagler County Sheriff's Office began tracking gang activity in 2004. Authorities zeroed in on several possible key suspects who are part of the Bloods, an organized street gang.Investigators believe two sets of the gangs, known as the "9-Tek grenades" and the "Brick Mafia" operated in Palm Coast.Authorities say the gang members have been involved in armed robberies, home invasions, burglaries, illegal drug sales and the possession of illegal firearms by convicted felons.
