Smuggling prison guard made over $57k, says SQ: "prison guard convicted of smuggling drugs into the Montreal Detention Centre was more than just a mule for the street gang he worked for, a prosecutor said as sentencing arguments in his case continued Tuesday morning.
Prosecutor Chantal Michaud said Pierre Arold Agnant played a crucial role in the network's effort to smuggle marijuana, cocaine, cell phones and liquor into the detention centre where he worked. A Surete du Quebec investigation revealed Agnant smuggled in contrand on at least 19 occassions between Christmas 2006 and June 2007. He is estimated to have made more than $57,000 for his services to Gustave Jean, a street gang member who organized the network."
