Crime boss Jamie Daniel fails in bid to be freed from prison - The Daily Record: "Jamie Daniel has failed in a bid to be freed from jail.
The 52-year-old is appealing against a 12-month prison term for a crazed road rage attack.
Daniel's lawyers have lodged papers at the Court of Appeal claiming the sentence was too severe.
They also asked for him to be set free until the appeal is heard - but the request was rejected on Monday.
An insider said: 'When Daniel stuck his tongue out when he was sentenced, he might have given the impression of being pretty calm but inside he was raging.
'He's known for his foul temper and four-letter outbursts and the sentence sent him into a rage."
