Two Memphis Neighborhoods "Most Dangerous"|myEyewitnessNews.com, Memphis News, Entertainment, Videos, Business Search and Shopping: "Two Memphis areas made the “25 most dangerous neighborhoods in the United States” list.

The list was compiled by the financial website Wallet Pop. Researchers analyzed violent crime data from the FBI.

The Douglas community was seventh on the list. In that neighborhood you have a one in seven chance of being a victim of violent crime, according to the web site. The neighborhood is in North Memphis near Douglas Park.

Eleventh on the list was the area near Bellevue in Lamar. In that neighborhood, the web site claims you have a one in eight chance of being a victim of violent crime. It is in South Memphis.

People who live in the Douglas community don’t like being on the list.

“I think they made a mistake. It is not that bad,” said longtime resident, Fred Jones."
