Gang members sentenced in 2007 Sultana athlete murder | members, murder, sentenced - Local News - Victorville Daily Press: "Two of the four gang members accused of shooting and killing a 17-year-old Sultana High School athlete were sentenced to 25 years in prison Wednesday morning.
Jose Antonio Acosta, 27, and Gabriel Anthony Adams, 20, pleaded guilty in July to voluntary manslaughter of Steven Gonzales, use of a gun and participation in a criminal street gang.
Adams tried to withdraw his plea Wednesday, testifying he had been pressured by his attorney to sign the plea form. But Victorville Superior Court Judge Eric Nakata denied the request."
