Gang member sentenced to prison for conspiracy - Friday, Dec. 3, 2010 | 8:19 p.m. - Las Vegas Sun: "Las Vegas gang member was sentenced Friday to six-and-a-half years in prison and three years of supervised release after pleading guilty to racketeering conspiracy charges, Daniel Bogden, United States attorney for the District of Nevada, said.
Demichael “Mikey P.” Burks, 26, is the sixth member of the Playboy Bloods criminal street gang to be convicted and sentenced this year, officials said.
Burks admitted that he operated drug houses and distributed at least 83.2 grams of crack cocaine as a member of the Playboy Bloods, officials said.
According to the plea agreement, the Playboy Bloods operated primarily in the Sherman Gardens Annex housing complex at H Street and Doolittle Street in Las Vegas. Members of the gang have been involved in criminal racketeering acts including murder, attempted murder, robbery and drug trafficking, officials said."
