Federal indictment targets 13 Tri-City Bombers gang members | city, targets, federal - TheMonitor.com: "Thirteen members of the Tri-City Bombers gang are the target of a federal investigation aimed at the core of the group’s drug smuggling activities.

A federal indictment unsealed Wednesday afternoon details the well-documented internal structure of the gang and its alleged distribution of cocaine and Ecstasy through the Rio Grande Valley since April 2008.

The case against the Bombers was part of a national sweep by law enforcement nationwide that captured at least 41 gang members on Wednesday, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.

“This indictment represents our continued cooperative commitment to infiltrating and dismantling violent gangs who victimize our communities through random acts of violence, firearm violations, and drug distribution,” U.S. Attorney Jose Angel Moreno said in a statement."
