Eric Smith was found guilty of first-degree murder

Eric Smith was found guilty of first-degree murder and other offenses on Tuesday. Smith, 16, had been tried as an adult.In July 2007, Smith shot and killed Luis Navarro, also 16, while Navarro was riding his bike in Tacony Creek Park.
Navarro's parents had given their son the bike as a reward for staying away from gangs and drugs.Smith will be formally sentenced next month. He faces a mandatory life in prison sentence.
