Alleged Jamaican Drug Baron Pleads "Not Guilty": "Alleged Jamaican drug baron and gangster Christopher 'Dudus' Coke, extradited to the United States to stand trial on drug and gun-running charges, has entered a not guilty plea in a New York court, reports said Friday.

It was on Tuesday that Coke was deported to the US after he gave up his right under the Jamaican law to challenge his extradition.

The Manhattan federal court hearing the case remanded Coke to custody until June 28. It will then take a decision on whether to keep him in prison until the trial gets underway.

Earlier after he announced his intention to waive his right of appeal, Coke said he had decided to sacrifice personal inconvenience for the sake of his family as well as residents of Tivoli."
