19-year-old male remained in critical condition Thursday after being stabbed four times at a house occupied by Ogden Trece gang

A 19-year-old male remained in critical condition Thursday after being stabbed four times at a house occupied by a gang that has been declared to be a public nuisance.

Last week, a judge declared the Ogden Trece gang a public nuisance, and a civil injunction was issued against them.

About 9:15 p.m. Wednesday, police were called to a house in the 600 block of Gramercy Avenue. They found a man who had been stabbed four times in the upper torso during a fight, said Ogden Police Lt. Scott Conley.

The house was a known hangout of the Trece gang. On Sept. 27, 2nd District Judge Ernie Jones declared the 485-member gang a public nuisance and granted Weber County prosecutors' request for an injunction — the first of its kind in Utah. Gang members are accused of everything from graffiti to murder. The injunction prohibits members from associating with one another in public, being around guns, drugs and alcohol or staying out past 11 p.m.
