Ear-cutting bikie's jail term cut | Courier Mail: "GOLD Coast bikie who cut off a man's ears over a disputed drug debt has today had three years shaved off his 16-year prison term. The Court of Appeal in Brisbane this morning substituted a 13-year jail term given to former Lone Wolfe bikie gang member Aaron Drew Scheers, 27, for the kidnap and brutal attack on David Holmes in November 2007 with one of 10-years.Scheers was sentenced to 13-years jail for cutting Mr Holmes ears with a box-cutter and a cumulative three-year term for contempt.Scheers, 27, pleaded guilty in the Southport District Court on March 25 to 10 charges, including kidnapping, grievous bodily harm, extortion and attempting to pervert the course of justice.In November 2007, after an all-night alcohol and drug-fuelled party at the Lone Wolf clubhouse at Currumbin, self-confessed criminal David Holmes was kidnapped from his home, tied up and taken to a national park where he was bashed and had his ears sliced off."
