Nine-Trey Headbustas member admits helping to kill street gang leader | NJ.com: "When members of the Nine Trey Headbustas Bloods street gang didn’t like how their set was operating in New Brunswick, they decided to get rid of the leader.
One gang member, Davon Parker, 22, of Edison, admitted in court Friday to helping the two suspects in the killing of Devin Thompson, 19, near the city’s Recreation Park, said state Attorney General Paula Dow.
Parker said the gang believed Thompson wasn’t correctly running its New Brunswick operation, authorities said.
Parker, 22, agreed to testify against Syree Hakins and Tyrane Mathis, who are charged with murdering Thompson in June 2008, authorities said.
Parker’s admission was part of his guilty plea to a charge of racketeering, Dow said.
Thompson had led the gang’s New Brunswick set, but higher-ranking Nine Trey members didn’t like what he was doing, lawyers say."
