Violent adult street gang arrested after 10-year investigation, say Uvalde police | kens5.com | San Antonio News, Weather, Sports, Traffic, Entertainment, Video and Photos: "violent adult street gang made up from several members of the Cardenas family, as well as other dangerous individuals . They believe the gang has been involved in drug trafficking out of Uvalde for the past 10 years.
Early Wednesday morning officers from the City of Uvalde, a joint task force led by the Drug Enforcement Administration along with the Uvalde County Sheriff’s Department , Uvalde Police Department, Texas Department of Public Safety and agents from the United States Customs and Border Protection swooped in on the suspects. They were armed with federal search and arrest warrants for six suspects. All six were arrested and will soon be facing federal conspiracy to deliver cocaine charges.
Those arrested included:
Julio Cardenas, 38, 311 S. Evans St., Uvalde, TX
Paulo Cardenas, 39, 411 W. Daniel St., Uvalde, TX
Bertha Cardenas, 38, 383 Homestead Dr., Uvalde Estates, Uvalde, TX
Rafael Guajardo , 45, 436 ½ W. Oak St., Uvalde, TX
George Rodriguez, 21, 436 ½ W. Oak St., Uvalde TX
Elizabeth Rodriguez, 25, 436 ½ W. Oak St., Uvalde TX
Ruben Morado, 20, Prohibited Weapon
Abram Cardenas Jr., 17, Traffic Offenses"
