The cash meant Joseph Hyde, 34, could continue living as a fugitive in Thailand while wanted for drugs charges back home in the UK.Hyde, of South Shields, was eventually returned to this country, and is now serving a three-and-a-half-year jail term.An order was made against his associates to pay back cash made from their ill-gotten gains at Newcastle Crown Court. The four were convicted of money-laundering offences in November after they were found guilty of assisting Hyde."
