There was not a soul to be seen in any direction," the man said."It wasn't just a couple of shots I can tell you."It was a fair bevy of shots and I would say from more than one gun is my guess."
Police told another neighbour they believed at least 15 shots were fired, the man said."At least 15 I would have thought. I sleep like a log and to wake me up it must have been something."He said the man in the house that was attacked had suffered a heart attack recently."I know that recently he had a heart attack. He's only a young fellow in his 30s but he's a massive man, maybe 200-plus kilos."The family were quiet and often spent periods away from home, he said."The wife and little kids walk past and pat my dog as they walk past. They're very quiet and they're not there very often. They're away from the premises a lot," he said.Police blocked off Vardys Road between Sunnyholt Road and Charles Street while investigations continued.
In two weeks, houses have been sprayed with bullets in Sadleir in the city's west, Glenwood, Lalor Park, Seven Hills and Baulkham Hills - all in the north-west - and in Chester Hill and Bass Hill in Sydney's south-west.
