Gangster Disciples leader who sold crack cocaine has been sentenced in federal court in Chicago to more than 27 years in prison. Danny Mitchell, 31, of Chicago pleaded guilty last summer to conspiring to sell crack with the help of gang members. Mitchell's Englewood organization was taken down in 2006 after he traded crack for handguns from an undercover agent with the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Chicago police also took part in the investigation.
