16-year old Jerome Williams, the third and final suspect in the September shooting at the New Haven Lounge.Williams reportedly has a juvenile record, which includes more than a dozen charges that he’s amassed since the age of 12.
According to charging documents, a witness identified Williams who uses the street name “Lil Country” through a picture lineup. The teen also reportedly sports a pair of tattoos---two red tear drops under one eye and the initials “M.O.B.” on his neck.
They are symbols typically associated with the Bloods street gang. Two blocks from the Northwood Shopping Plaza, Ernest Bailey expressed relief over the arrest, which has eased residents’ fears after learning that the trio of suspects frequented a house on Lochwood Road."I don't worry about the gangs,” said Bailey, “only when they hang around the neighborhood... like stand at someone's house. I had some trouble where I live at---boys hanging around my house, and I called the police."It remains unclear whether police turned up Jerome Williams’ DNA on the signature skull mask left behind following the shooting or whether they found in on bandanas and gloves discovered at the scene, but police say they do have a genetic match making him the final suspect.
