Ashland Police: Men had loaded revolver in car - Framingham, MA - The MetroWest Daily News: "Police arrested three men they say are members of a local street gang on Sunday after investigators found a loaded gun in a secret compartment in their car.
Richard Barlatier, 20, of 238 Beacon St., Framingham; Robert McDaniel, 23, of 734 River Ave., Providence, R.I.; and James Salvi, 25, of 78 Colonel Bell Drive, Brockton, are all being held at the Ashland Police Department on $25,000 bail following their 8:50 p.m. arrest on Myrtle Street, police spokesman Lt. Richard Briggs said.
Officer Douglas Grout pulled over the car around 8:30 p.m. because it was speeding, the lieutenant said.
When he got to the open window, he noticed that the driver, McDaniel, smelled of alcohol and he ordered all three men out of the car, Briggs said.
He had McDaniel perform some roadside sobriety checkpoints, while Sgt. Greg Fawkes searched the car.
'They searched the vehicle for alcohol, but they found a loaded .357 revolver,' Briggs said."
