Two killed in Spanish Town - Breaking & Current Jamaica News - JamaicaObserver.com: "DESPITE a heavy police presence and numerous operations gunmen continue to run amok in the old capital of Spanish Town.
Police report that two men were shot dead in separate incidents last night.
They have been identified as 36-year-old Mark Ellison, a labourer of Innswood Estate and Richard Johnson, 31, a vendor of Chamber’s Lane.
The Spanish Town Criminal Investigation Bureau report that about 7:45 pm residents reported hearing gunshots and summoned them.
When the cops arrived, Ellison was found outside his house with gunshot wounds. He was taken to the Spanish Town Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
About 30 minutes later, Johnson was in his shop along Oxford Road when two armed men confronted him. One of the men reportedly pulled a firearm and shot him. The officers who responded found Johnson with gunshot wounds."
