The alleged kingpin of the largest drug ring in the southern suburbs of Buenos Aires was captured today in the context of a police crackdown that included 70 raids and detained 12 others.
The arrested drug dealer, identified as Ariel "El Mudo" Gorosito, leading an organization dedicated to the division and sale of cocaine, marijuana and paco through about 70 stalls, police said. He also dropped his partner Miguel Angel Umerez.
In the raids, ordered by the Functional Unit of Instruction No. 21 of the Buenos Aires district of Lomas de Zamora, long and short weapons seized three kilos of cocaine, the substance of Drug Court and elements of fractionation.
Gorosito was captured in Lomas de Zamora, a suburb south of the capital of Argentina.
The Buenos Aires Governor Daniel Scioli, said his capture "is a well-aimed blow to drug trafficking and a breakthrough in the battle for security in the province."
